Benjamin L. King joined the firm in 2018. Ben graduated cum laude from Alma College and received his J.D., in 2017 from Wayne State University Law School.
In law school, Ben served as chairperson for the Free Legal Aid Clinic, Inc., the country’s first student run legal aid program. Before joining the firm Ben worked as a legal aid attorney. During that time, Ben represented clients in public benefit appeals, fair housing, and disability rights issues.
Ben represents unions, workers, and benefit plans, in litigation, arbitrations, and NLRB proceedings. Ben represents clients in state regulatory proceedings before the Employment Relations Commission, Public Service Commission, and Teacher Tenure Commission. Ben also regularly advises, consults, and negotiates employment agreements for physicians.
Ben is admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and United States Supreme Court. Ben is also a member of the Industrial Workers of the World.
